A question that regularly occurs as a chat agent is – “are you a robot?” People are so shocked to see customer service delivered via manned web chat. So much so in fact, that they begin to think it’s a pre-programmed bot. There are new developments in chat bots that we are beginning to see from in e-commerce already. But how does it compare to speaking to an actual person?
Manned Chat for Solicitors
Last year provided a glimmer of things to come in the with the first chatbot (or robot) lawyer. It was dubbed as “the world’s first robot lawyer” by its 19-year-old creator, London-born second-year Stanford University student Joshua Browder. The invention named DoNotPay helps users contest parking tickets in an easy to use chat-like interface.
The idea originally started with parking tickets and delayed flights, basically all sorts of trivial human rights issues, however this year the inventor began to be approached by non-profit lawyers that believe the idea of automating legal services is a lot bigger than just doing parking fines – so the service is being expanded into providing a more humanitarian service – helping refugees! Helping applicants by asking them a series of questions – and ultimately filling out forms.
The Chat Heroes Way
It is clear to all that the continued use and growth of technology and applications is an amazing thing and a sign of our times, however, Chat Heroes believe that there are a time and a place for using chat-bots and AI (artificial intelligence). We do not think that a businesses personal website should deliver impersonal customer service. Chat Heroes work with clients that do not believe their visitors are going to their company websites for ‘trivial’ matters that do not require a human touch.
Mortons Solicitors wanted to engage better with their existing and potentially new customers, after doing a one month, no obligation trial this was the feedback that we received, from Andrew Simpson (Partner):-

See how we are providing this service for professional companies, including international charities that want to continually grow by providing excellent customer service – see CASE STUDIES.
